Debra holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from The University of Melbourne, as well as a Master of Laws from Monash University. She is an LIV Accredited Specialist in Family Law.
With more than 30 years of experience practising exclusively in family law, Debra has worked across all areas of practice, including parenting disputes, property settlements and complex financial matters. This includes eight years as a partner at a boutique law firm.
Debra also worked as an Independent Children’s Lawyer for five years, with that role providing invaluable experience in dealing with complicated parenting matters.
She has also been involved in high value and complex property matters, including matters involving businesses, trusts and significant asset pools.
In addition to her extensive practice experience, Debra plays an active mentoring role within the family law team, supporting and guiding junior lawyers in their professional development.
