To recognise significant achievements, remarkable service, and invaluable contribution to the LIV, the legal profession, and community over a distinguished career, the 2021 LIV LegalAwards presented three of their most prestigious awards to 14 Victorian lawyers.
Among the 14 awardees was Tim Robinson who received the Distinguished Service Award together with Anthony Riordan, Eila Pourasgheri, Frank Tisher, and Suzanne Bettink.
Starting his career with RA Lewis & Associates and progressing to partner a few years later, Tim Robinson is now managing and founding principal of the same firm that is now known as Robinson Gill Lawyers.
An advocate of high-quality legal advice, Mr Robinson became an Accredited Specialist in family law in 1990 and has relentlessly encouraged Robinson Gill Lawyers to pursue LIV Accreditation. All six principals at the firm and both Special Counsel are LIV Accredited Specialists.
Mr Robinson was a member of the VFL Tribunal for 25 years and served as its chair for 8 years. Rendering distinguished service on the Law Aid Trust for 8 years, he mentored many young lawyers, moulding them not only the basics of the practice but likewise helping them develop their passion for the law and service to the wider community.
“I am grateful to the LIV for this award as much as I am thankful for the recognition of my advocacy and passion for the profession and its significant contribution to the industry and society as a whole. I am deeply honored,” Mr Robinson expressed in acknowledging and receiving the award.
The Distinguished Service Award from LIV Legal Awards recognises deserving lawyers who have shown exemplary dedication and commitment and rendered significant service to the LIV and the legal industry throughout their career.
“Each of the 14 individuals recognised this year has made a significant contribution to the legal profession and the community over years and decades,” Tania Wolff, LIV president commented, congratulating the award winners and commending them for their exceptional contributions to the industry.
