Jeremy is a personal injury lawyer with two discrete areas of expertise - police misconduct and TAC compensation claims.
For the latter, he is very experienced at running TAC (motor vehicle accident) compensation claims. Jeremy was one of the four plaintiff lawyers involved in drafting the revised TAC Common Law, Impairment Assessment and No-Fault Dispute Resolution Protocols between 2014 and 2016. This was a long-term project between the Transport Accident Commission, the Law Institute of Victoria and the Australian Lawyers Alliance.
He is also an active member of the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) Legal Liaison Group.
No-one litigates against Victoria Police more than Jeremy.
He leads the firm's renowned police misconduct team and is responsible for extensive advocacy for reform of police oversight includes making submissions to the IBAC Parliamentary Committee’s Inquiry into the External Oversight of Police Corruption and Misconduct in Victoria and giving evidence at the public hearings held by this Committee.
He is regularly interviewed by the media and publishes on police misconduct matters.
Jeremy was interviewed on 60 Minutes Australia in their special investigation exposing shocking alleged police brutality.
He was the lead lawyer, along with Merys Williams, who represented Jessie Scarlett-Rhodes, a young education employee who was handcuffed and hurled headfirst into a divvy van, causing head injuries and a fractured nose. Ms Scarlett-Rhodes was charged by police after she made a complaint, and had her complaint dismissed following a police internal investigation.

On top of his advocacy work, he represents Volunteer Firefighters in Victoria and has provided pro bono legal assistance to refugees being held at the Nauru Regional Processing Centre.
