Rachael is a disputes lawyer with a focus on helping building and construction disputes, debt recovery, contractual disputes and wills disputes.

Rachael enjoys working with clients to develop a strategy to achieve an outcome. Many of her clients come to her to help with pursuing unpaid debts - whether that be business debt or personal debt.

She has experience representing clients in Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), as well as the Magistrates' County and Supreme Courts.

Rachael can assist individuals or companies initiate winding up proceedings if a company has not paid a debt. She is also familiar with initiating bankruptcy proceedings if the debtor is an individual.

Building and construction disputes

Rachael has advised business owners, builders, tradespersons and tenants of property who are involved in a dispute. The disputes are often due to contracts being poorly written, verbal in nature or because of an unpaid debt.

She has experience in resolving these issues quickly and without fuss.

Contesting estates on behalf of people

Rachael has helped a number of individuals successfully dispute wills that they have been unfairly left out of. Rachael has built cases for people where a will has been incorrectly executed, tampered with or where the meaning of the will is unclear. She also has experience in defending claims made by individuals against deceased estates.

Real-world business experience

As the former manager of a renowned retail store, Rachael understands what makes small businesses tick and the challenges owners face on a day-to-day basis. As a result of this experience, she developed incredible client service skills and clients often provide the feedback that Rachael is very approachable and personable.

Prior to being admitted, Rachael was a law clerk in Robinson Gill’s injury and disputes team.

Rachael completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Deakin University. She was a graduate of Methodist Ladies College in Melbourne.

Rachael spent one year abroad as part of an exchange, studying at Brighton University in the United Kingdom.
