Not one to sit behind
a desk all-day
Tieea started her legal career in criminal defence, working as a Court lawyer for one of Melbourne’s leading criminal defence law firms. Tieea worked around the clock between the cells and the courtroom, appearing in both summary and indictable matters.
Using her legal knowledge to help reinstate liberty in society.
Frustrated by the knowledge and power divide so often witnessed in the criminal justice system, Tieea was drawn towards the litigation space, which provided a mechanism for recourse where a civilian had been the recipient of police or prison officer misconduct.
Having worked in private practice, and a number of Community Legal Centres (including Fitzroy Legal Service, Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service, and Flemington & Kensington Community Legal Centre), she always takes a human-centered approach when discussing a new case with a client.
Each brief is like a puzzle - you just have to find the right pieces
Once armed with the evidence, Tieea applies a mathematical approach to analysing the case, ensuring her clients get the best possible result.
