If someone else was negligent, Jodie is ready to help
Jodie has built an enviable reputation of helping people receive compensation based on someone else’s negligence or fault. She is passionate about getting justice for people - particularly when it’s difficult.
She has three key areas of expertise: helping survivors of childhood abuse and their families make a civil claim as a result of institutional abuse and/or against the individuals involved, suing medical professionals and institutions who have been negligent, and helping people seek compensation if they have been injured in a public or private place due to the fault of someone else.
Supporting survivors of childhood abuse get justice
Jodie is passionate about helping people who have been wronged by institutions.
In particular, she has pursued a number of schools, including Geelong Grammar School and Yeshivah College in Sydney, on behalf of survivors of childhood abuse. She has also achieved outcomes for people who have been abused whilst in the care of other religious organisations.
Jodie has successfully pursued the perpetrators of the abuse on behalf of survivors, both in civil claims, and also in Sentencing Act Applications for compensation where a criminal conviction has been achieved.
Suing medical professionals who have been negligent
Jodie also has significant experience suing hospitals, general practitioners and allied health services when medical treatment has been performed negligently. She will walk you through the steps needed to ensure that you have a successful claim, and prides herself on keeping her clients informed at all times as to what is happening in their individual proceedings.
Helping you with public liability claims
Jodie has helped individuals who have been hurt in public places including parks, shopping centres, footpaths, offices, amusement venues and schools. She has also helped people who have been injured in private residences (for example, a guest to a property), where the injury is due to the fault of someone else.
