Peace of mind - where it counts

Preparing for the future isn’t always easy. But with over 20 years of experience as an estate planning lawyer, Julie delivers something which is difficult to put a price on - peace of mind. As a senior associate in our wills and estates team, she has advised clients throughout Australia and New Zealand on a full breadth of estate planning matters, including wills, testamentary trusts, and powers of attorney.

Whatever the future holds

When it comes to managing your financial affairs, you need a safe pair of hands. Enlisting a professional to help you make decisions about your assets requires trust. It’s not just about tax - you need to ensure that every avenue is explored in ensuring that your loved ones are provided for.

Julie has decades of experience providing dedicated estate planning advice. Her expertise goes far beyond drafting a will - she takes a comprehensive approach to ensuring that her clients’ assets are protected and distributed in the most cost-effective manner possible, often providing solutions that they may not have thought of. She also advises on setting up Powers of Attorney and Medical Treatment Decision documents, so that no matter what your health brings in the future, you’ve got things covered.

Expert guidance when times are tough

When a loved one passes on, the last thing you want to be dealing with is complex legal documentation. With extensive experience in the administration of estates, Julie takes on this burden for her clients, handling all aspects of probate with care, tact and understanding. She ensures that grants of probate and letters of administration are correctly secured, and advises executors and beneficiaries on their obligations and entitlements so that families can mourn their loved ones with minimal disruption.

Support when things go wrong

Even with the best will in the world, difficulties can still arise when agreeing on how an estate should be distributed. Julie advises on a wide range of estate litigation matters, representing her clients in cases all the way up to the Supreme Court. She regularly acts for family members who receive a less than expected entitlement from a will (or are excluded altogether), and provides mediation to help parties resolve their disputes out of court wherever possible.

Whether Julie is assisting her clients with planning for the future, or dealing with challenges in the present, they often come to her at some of the most difficult times of their lives. Her number one priority is to secure the best possible outcome for both themselves and their loved ones.
