Tim Robinson
Family Law
Litigation & Criminal Law

Tim has practised as a solicitor mainly in the areas of Litigation, Family Law and Criminal Law. He also has a special interest in Medical Negligence and civil actions against police. He holds specialist accreditation in the areas of Commercial Litigation and Family Law.

In 1985 Tim was appointed to the VFL Tribunal and he is now the Chairman of that Tribunal. He is a former member of the Council of the Law Institute of Victoria and a former President of the Eastern Suburbs Law Association.

 

Harry Gill
Injury Law

Harry commenced employment with RobinsonGill as an Articled Clerk in 1984 and was admitted to practice as a solicitor in 1985. He won the Solicitors Prize (for Young Solicitors) in Injury Law in 1989. He attained accreditation from the Law Institute of Victoria as a Specialist in Injury Law in 1994.

Harry was admitted into partnership in 1998 and now heads our Injury Law team. He is Chair of the Law Institute of Victoria's Accident Compensation Committee (representing solicitors on WorkCover issues) and a serving member of its Personal Injury Advisory Committee (overseeing specialist accreditation) and Law Institute of Victoria/TAC Liaison Committee. He also serves on the WorkCover Advisory Committee (advising the government on WorkCover issues).

He has an extensive practice in all areas but particularly transport accidents and WorkCover claims.

Harry's interests outside law include playing soccer and golf, travel and reading.

 

 

Adele Katzew
Family Law

Adele joined RobinsonGill in 2000. She holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology major) from the University of Melbourne. Adele practises in all areas of Family Law and attained accreditation from the Law Institute of Victoria as a Specialist in Family Law in 2010.

Adele is a volunteer solicitor at the Eastern Community Legal Centre

Sharon has a wide breadth of experience in Litigation having worked for six years in the Courts system as a Court Registrar before commencing at RobinsonGill in 1996.

Sharon was admitted to practice in 1997. Sharon heads the Commercial area of the practice and can assist you with the following legal matters: General Litigation, Commercial Law, Criminal Law and Medical Negligence.

 

Christine Cowin
Family Law

Chris commenced with RobinsonGill in 1986. She has been an Associate since 1989.

She became a Law Institute Accredited Specialist in Family Law in 1992. Chris practises in all aspects of Family Law including property settlements, children's issues, defacto issues and same sex relationships.

 

Richard Bartram
Family Law

Richard commenced employment with RobinsonGill in 1993, having earlier practised at firms in Carlton, Melbourne, Diamond Creek and Bendigo. Richard has been practising as a solicitor since 1987.

He is a Law Institute Accredited Specialist in Family Law, and heads the firm's Family Law team. Richard also practises in Injury Law.

 

Henri Kauthen
Injury Law
Litigation

Henri was born and raised in Luxembourg. He studied in Strasbourg, France where he obtained degrees in Law in 1990 and Political Science in 1991. He subsequently worked as a solicitor in Luxembourg where he was admitted to practise in 1992.

In 1995 Henri emigrated to Australia. He enrolled at the University of Melbourne and successfully completed studies to convert his qualifications obtained overseas in order to practise in Victoria.

Henri now practises as a solicitor in the areas of Injury Law and General Litigation. He is a Victorian State Committee member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance (representing plaintiff lawyers) and has accreditation from the Law Institute of Victoria as a Specialist in Injury Law.

Henri is fluent in English, French and German, and has a strong interest in music and politics
 

Jeremy King
Injury Law

Jeremy joined RobinsonGill in 2006 after graduating from Monash University with degrees in Law and Arts. While studying law he worked part time for a CBD injury law firm for some years. Jeremy completed his articles with Robinson Gill in 2007 and is part of the Personal Injury team. He recently completed a Masters of Law at Utrecht University in the Netherlands specialising in human rights and criminal justice. He has also been a member of the Transport Accident Committee of the Law Insitute of Victoria for several years as well as being actively involved in the Australian Law Alliance.

 

Jodie Gerritsen
Injury Law

Jodie was admitted to the Northern Territory Supreme Court as a Barrister and Solicitor in 1996 and commenced working in Injury Law and General Litigation. Craving colder climates, she moved to Victoria in 1999 and joined RobinsonGill.

Jodie has extensive experience in the constantly evolving area of Injury Law. She is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria's Transport Accident Committee (representing solicitors on TAC issues) and has accreditation from the Law Institute of Victoria as a Specialist in Injury Law.
Jodie's interests outside the law include reading and sightseeing.

 
   
 

Tim Landy
Commercial Law & Litigation

Tim has developed a broad and extensive commercial litigation/alternative dispute resolution practice and is responsible for conducting complex litigious matters in State and Federal Courts and Tribunals.

During his career, Tim has advised clients involved in a wide range of commercial disputes including contract, misleading or deceptive conduct, domestic building, professional negligence and bankruptcy/insolvency matters.

Tim has also advised self-represented litigants in appeals from the Victorian Civil & Administrative Tribunal on the grounds that the Tribunal made an “error of law”.

 

   
 

Jessica Caldwell
Family Law

Jessica graduated from Monash University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Behavioural Studies. During her studies at Monash University, Jessica completed a semester on exchange in Florence, Italy.

Jessica joined the Family Law practice at RobinsonGill and was admitted to practice in 2007. She is a member of the Young Lawyers and Family Law Sections of the Law Institute of Victoria

Anna obtained her LLB (Hons) degree at Kings College, University of London and then completed her Bar Finals as a member of Lincoln's Inn, London. She was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor in Malaysia in 1989 where she practised in the area of general civil law and litigation for 6 years. Anna moved to Australia in 1995 and completed an MBA through the University of Melbourne's Business School. She lived in Chicago for a year and then worked in management for some years in Melbourne before completing admission requirements for practise in Victoria. Anna commenced with Robinson Gill in 2008 and was admitted to practise in Victoria in 2009. Anna works in the Commercial area of the practice and can assist you with the following legal matters: General Litigation, Commercial Law/Litigation, Victims of Crime Compensation and Medical Negligence.

   
 

Nadia Fabris
Injury Law

Nadia completed her law degree at La Trobe University in 2000, following which she completed her articles at Abbott Stillman and Wilson. She continued to work at Abbott Stillman and Wilson, which later became Dibbs Abbott Stillman, practicing in the area of WorkCover, until 2006 when she left to have a family. Nadia commenced with Robinson Gill in 2009 and practices in the area of injury law, particularly TAC claims, WorkCover and public liability.

   
 

Danielle Meyer
Injury Law

Danielle graduated from Monash University with degrees in Law and Arts. Upon being admitted to practice she lived in Taiwan for 15 months, teaching English and studying Mandarin Chinese.

She joined Robinson Gill in 2008. She practices in the area of Injury Law and continues to study Mandarin.

   
 

Caroline Symington
Conveyancing Paralegal

Caroline holds a Bachelor of Arts and an Advanced Diploma in Business in which she majored in property and conveyancing.

Caroline has a vast and varied conveyancing history with experience in sales and acquisitions of residential, commercial and rural property of subdivisions and consolidations and has experience also in mortgagee work ranging from mortgagee sales to drawing of mortgage documentation. Working alongside and on behalf of developers, financiers, foreign investors, first home buyers through to multi property investors and provides a unique understanding of the process and requirements of the conveyancing process both theoretically and practically.
